Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Mum passed away on 9th August 2017 after a 3 and a half year brave battle with this awful disease. On 8th September this year myself, my Dad, Sisters, Nieces & Nephews and their partners, 11 of us in total, are walking together in Mum's memory to raise as much as we can to support research into this devastating disease, to push forward the understanding into its causes and find a cure.

Please give all that you can. Thank You.

We did it! It was quite an emotional day, joining around 1,500 other walkers in the lovely surroundings of Mote Park. Weather was perfect for walking and we all made it round the course fit and well. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our total. Your generosity has exceeded our wildest expectations. I am sure Mum is very proud of us all. Andy
